The augmented sales team

We love sales. All the sales people we know, love sales. But ask any sales person what (s)he hates about his or her role, and you’ll always get the same reply: the administrative part of the job. The rules and procedures, the systems and tools, ... most of them simply don’t seem to match the reality of the sales person in the field.
We can do better than that. In fact, we must do a better job. Without sales, there is no business. There aren’t that many products that sell themselves. All too often, sales people are hindered from doing what they do best: relating and selling. Let sales people be sales people. Don’t turn them into computer workers and administrators!
